Ledger’s final film Screens in Cannes

567b.jpgAustralian actor Heath Ledger’s final performance before he died of an accidental overdose in January 2008 nearly never made it to the big screen, US-born director Terry Gilliam said.

The film maker’s first thought when Ledger died in New York was to ditch The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which was only half finished.

Warner Bros. & DC comics have deceided to film their next big block buster in Sydney Australia according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Pip Bulbeck. The project is going to be directed by Martin Campbell (”Casino Royale”) and written by Greg Berlanti and Michael Green. The film is set to cost $150 million and will be produced by Donald Deline.
