The Collective allows TVI Actors Studio members to come together to perform original works that will help them grow Artistically and Professionally. Once a month we have an event from Readings to Improvisation Sessions to Shooting Skits. Anything to do with what the collective members find beneficial to their acting careers.
Our inaugural project were doing is called “Bloody Waters” about the impact of Hurricane Katrina.
SYNOPSIS-
“BLOODY WATERS” IS A SCATHING SATIRICAL PIECE THAT EXAMINES THE IMPACT OF HURRICANE KATRINA ON THE PEOPLE OF THE GULF COAST. LIKE ITS NAMESAKE, THE KATRINA MONOLOGUES IS A POLITICAL MAELSTROM, WHICH LEAVES POP CULTURE, AMERICAN APATHY, AND BUREAUCRATIC INCOMPETENCE DEVASTATED IN ITS WAKE. SURREAL IN ITS TONE AND AMBITIOUS BY ITS VERY PREMISE, THE AIM OF THE KATRINA MONOLOGUES IS TO ENSURE THIS AMERICAN TRAGEDY REMAINS AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS ALL THE WHILE QUESTIONING IF WE EVER TRULY HAD ONE TO BEGIN WITH. Need a Shakespeare monologue for your next audition get it on your iPhone. The free app brings you the full text of all forty plays, as well as the Bard’s poems and sonnets. American Accent Training, Inc. has numerous applications to help you if you need to work on a standard American dialect. Daybreakers
A vampire thriller film set in the year 2019.
Just grossed $32,175,979 with the
$29,975,979 (5 February 2010) being in the US.
Daybreakers was filmed on the Gold Coast Queensland at Warner Bros. Movie World studios. Staring an array of locally grown talent, and some big international names as well. It seems that the Australian film industry is really starting to pick up and we need to continue to support, for Australian made films.
Although the film as had mixed reviews the toughest critics seem to have been the Australians. We need to keep going, we have a list of great credits behind us, and a bright bright film industry ahead. Keep the passion alive and lets create amazing Australian films for the entire world to enjoy.

Yesterday at TVI Actors Studio, TVI hosted an acting headshot photographers panel with the TVI Hybrid Conservatory students. Guest speakers four well recognized headshot photographers in the Los Angeles acting community. They were Innes Casey, Vanie Poyey and Alex and Catherine from Holloway Pictures.
The two hour seminar spoke about lighting, headshot costs, duplications and technology advances in photography.

Rising Sun Pictures closed its new Sydney office after the expected influx of big offshore productions failed to materialise.Several major productions, including Warner Bros’ big budget
Green Lantern, pulled out of Sydney last year as the value of the Australian dollar climbed above 90 US cents. Martin Campbell Green Director of Lantern stated the comic book adventure is now filming in Louisiana in March.
Rising Sun Pictures is working on the final two Harry Potter films and Chinese-Australian production “The Last Dragon”, which recently finished filming.

Nicole joins presenters Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Colin Farrell, Matthew Fox, Julia Roberts and Mickey Rourke.
Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio will present the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Cecil B. DeMille Award to Martin Scorsese for his “outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.”
The 2010 Golden Globes Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais, and be broadcast live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on January 17th.
