Poor Boy, written by Finn and Matt Cameron is a ghost story about a boy who lays claim to a past life. Pearce, 41, plays the boy’s adult incarnation and is relishing his return to the stage.

The production features classic song’s like, I Hope I Never, Ghost Girl, Walking Through the Ruins and numbers from Finn’s solo career (In A Minor Key, Not Even Close).

While Pearce has been promoting his latest movies, Traitor and Bedtime Stories, he managed to squeeze in time to play guitar and sing at the Queenscliff Music Festival last month.

Poor Boy opens at the MTC’s new Sumner Theatre on January 28.
