Playwright Alex Broun, Director of the largest ten-minute theatre festival in the world has just announced the Short+Sweet plays shortlisted for 2009.
…The official launch will be held in Sydney at the Sound Lounge of the Seymour Centre, Monday 15 December at 6pm.
…Every state and territory in Australia will be represented in the festival and of the international entries, the US has won 41 places on the shortlist followed by Singapore with 29.
…The Season starts January 6, at the Newtown Theatre, joined by the Seymour Centre Downstairs from January 21, and run’s with both theatres’ separate programmes until the finale.
…There is a TOP 100, Wildcard series all leading to the Gala Awards Grand Final at the Seymour York Theatre, Friday Feb 20 and Saturday Feb 21 at 7.30pm.
