Yesterday at TVI Actors Studio, TVI hosted an acting headshot photographers panel with the TVI Hybrid Conservatory students. Guest speakers four well recognized headshot photographers in the Los Angeles acting community. They were Innes Casey, Vanie Poyey and Alex and Catherine from Holloway Pictures.

The two hour seminar spoke about lighting, headshot costs, duplications and technology advances in photography.

FAR Northern beauty Isabel Lucas is due to sign another Hollywood movie deal after catching the eye of Steven Spielberg when filming The Pacific.

A spokesman for Lucas agent, Meissner Management, said the starlet had been auditioning regularly during her time in the US.

But it was her work on the war epic filmed in the Far North that scored her latest role in the sequel to blockbuster movie Transformers.

Steven Spielberg saw her work in The Pacific and really pushed for her to get it, the spokesman said.

He said the Australian talent agents felt excited about the young actors development, after discovering her at the Port Douglas markets several years ago.

Kyle Rowling of the Sydney Stage Combat School has worked as fight director for stage and screen for over 15 years, applying his brutal touches to Wolfgang Petersen’s Troy and the two most recent episodes of Star Wars. In a recent interview, he gave some tips for actors who want to learn more about stage combat.

Gallipoli opens in Sydney tonight, presented by the The Sydney Theatre Company.

Third year students from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) are making up the numbers. And they have learnt how hard life was in the trenches.

“How absolutely awful the conditions were; the length of time they spent on Gallipoli meant they went there in winter,” student actor Julia Billington noted.
