NEW YORK — Travis Fimmel might not be a household name yet, though the Australian actor who stars with Patrick Swayze in A&E’s FBI drama “The Beast,” is better known for his Calvin Klein undies than his acting career.

…The FBI drama features Fimmel as a young agent (Ellis Dove) recruited to investigate his partner, Charles Barker, played by Swayze.

…It is Fimmel’s most high-profile TV role since appearing in the short-lived 2003 version of “Tarzan.”

…After several years of go-nowhere acting gigs, he’s out to prove that he’s more than just a pretty face.

Calvin Klein INC; just announced that the company will hold a dynamic event in Sydney, Australia to celebrate the upcoming Spring 2009 season.

The invitation-only event will be held on Tuesday, December 16th on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour. The event will be co-hosted by celebrated Australian actress Abbie Cornish and Kevin Carrigan, the Creative Director of ck Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans and will feature music by internationally recognized DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Cornish was most recently seen in this year’s “Stop-Loss” and was also in last year’s “Elizabeth: The Golden Age.” She will be starring in the upcoming Jane ****ion film, “Bright Star.” Her breakthrough roles were in the Australian films “Candy” and “Somersault,” as well as the American film, “A Good Year.”

Previous locations to this prestigious event over the past few years have been, Tokyo, Shanghai, London, Dubai, and New York.

The evening’s hosts will be joined by Tom Murry, President & CEO, Calvin Klein, Inc. and several other key executives of the company who will be traveling to Australia for the occasion.
